IN MEMORIAM - William (Bill) Plantier

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear friend and long-time NJACA board member, William (Bill) Plantier, on September 21, 2021.  Bill began his career in corrections in 1973, and held a multitude of positions as he rose through the ranks of the NJDOC. He continued his work with the correctional population post-retirement. Bill brought so much knowledge and expertise to our organization.  He was a leader in the field, and a friend to many.

NJACA remembers Past President, Gary Hilton Sr., 1940 - 2017

He has been the recipient of numerous awards and commendations from various professional and governmental organizations, including a Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Correctional Association. We are grateful for Gary’s dedication and service to the field of Corrections.  Gary’s distinguished career in Corrections spanned over 37 years. He was a charter member of the NJACA, and was a proponent of correctional professional organizations.
